This will be our central online hub for St. Luke’s/Gethsemane’s new initiatives as we seek to restore 1,000 new families. Our full website will roll out very soon.
Please be in prayer for both campuses of our church. We have a great tradition and history, and we believe the best way to honor that history is by reaching and restoring new people.
Meanwhile, you may check out our church’s other online spots here:

This is Ceradieu Romain.
AKA: Romano (Row-Mah-No)
Location: Pontezuela & Licey, DR
Prayer Requests:
Romano was Jacob’s translator for one day of the Dominican class and the entire Haitian class. He is fluent in Creole, French, Spanish, Portugese and English.
Stud.
Romano was born and raised in Haiti, and has lived in the Dominican for a few years now. He’s one of those people that walks in a room and makes everyone feel welcome and at ease. Romano is very involved in the Sports outreach, and is extremely intelligent.
Jacob is grateful to Romano for his translating skills. It doesn’t do any good to research, study, and prepare lectures that can’t be understood. Romano did a fantastic job of teaching, not just translating. He took the time to work with Jacob on content before the lectures. This paid off because there are many things that need translated in class: words, ideas, thoughts, intents, emotions, and reactions.
If you want to connect with Romano, add him on Facebook here.
One of the three things we do is Move a Generation to Do Justice and Make Disciples for Jesus. Jacob just returned from a Move Journey to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Here’s a message from him, post-Journey.
. . .
The Restoration Movement is forming a partnership with G.O. Ministries, who is working for Restoration in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Columbia, Cuba and Mongolia. I just returned from a 10 day trip of encouraging leaders in the D.R. and Haiti. The leaders in the D.R. and Haiti are amazing. Even though I went down as “the professor”, I really went as a student. God taught me so much this week…even new insights about the material I was teaching!
Be sure to check in for some videos and stories about the incredible work that is happening in the Dominican Republic and in Haiti.
Here are some of the faces from our classes. You’ll get to know them better in the next posts. Plus, you’ll have a chance to really get behind them and their work…and have a chance to tell their story. But you’ve gotta wait for that…
